Job Description

Job Title:Part 2 Architectural Assistant
Location:Chelmsford
Salary:28000 - 33000


Aztrum is thrilled to be working with an award-winning multi-disciplined architectural practice based in Chelmsford. With a strong reputation for delivering large-scale residential and masterplanning projects this growing practice is expanding their HQ team to meet increasing demand. They are now looking for a talented and driven Part 2 Architectural Assistant to support the growth and delivery of planning and technical projects for residential-led developments nationwide.


Key responsibilities for the Part 2 Architectural Assistant:

  • Work on housing and residential projects of varying scales.
  • Support the production of planning packs for submission.
  • Translate client briefs into visually engaging and technically sound design concepts.
  • Assist in preparing visual layouts and annotated documentation to communicate design intent.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet project deadlines.
  • Liaise with local planning authorities and clients across the South and East of England.


Key requirements for the Part 2 Architectural Assistant:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture (RIBA Part 2 or equivalent).
  • 3 years of experience within an architectural practice with a strong focus on residential and masterplanning projects.
  • Proven track record delivering UK housing projects for national housebuilders land promoters or regional developers.
  • Experience working with planning authorities and private clients.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent understanding of UK building regulations and planning legislation.
  • Strong organisational and visual communication skills.
  • A collaborative and creative approach with a strong design portfolio.
