Accessibility Services at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Accessibility Support Facilitator.

What youll do

Responsibilities

The Accessibility Support Facilitator (ASF) is responsible for coordinating the Testing Centre and schedule for students with disabilities who require accommodations assisting with technology requirements accessibility supports (notetakers tutors seating) accessible educational materials faculty support and assisting with projects and services of the Accessibility Services department.

What youll need

Qualifications

An undergraduate degree in a related discipline plus one year of work experience in a post-secondary learning environment is required for this position. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The ASF is responsible for demonstrating initiative creativity and the ability to conduct research on best practices. Advanced computer skills and the confidence and willingness to learn new technology are required; experience using various assistive technology programs and devices is preferred. This role requires excellent organizational skills extreme attention to detail strong ability to communicate and the ability to handle difficult situations. The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion is required. Also required is demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and have an aptitude for or previous experience using business enterprise systems such as Colleague and SharePoint.
