Job Description
Due to current strong growth in functions the Fresh team in Brisbane has immediate vacancies for experienced Function Supervisor to join their Service brigade. Work across a wide variety of functions and events at Waters Edge at Portside and Queensland Museum no two days are ever the same.
The Role
- Run events across multiple spaces
- Receive briefings from the Venue and Event Managers prior to the event
- Deliver exceptional client experiences across a range of functions and events including cocktail parties conferences and sit-down dinners
- Oversee all service related aspects of the function from set up through service and pack down
- Supervise a team of experienced function waiters and bartenders
- Be the client liaison throughout the event
- Work closely with the culinary team keeping clear communication lines at all times
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Prior experience as a Head Waiter or Function Supervisor
- Ideally coming from a 5-star background
- Excellent attention to detail
- A passion for executing amazing events.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months to 1-year experience in similar role coming from well-established and fast-paced venues
- Passion and an extensive knowledge of the food and beverage offering
- Possess an eye for detail and a focus on customer experience
- Have strong communication skills
- Hold a valid RSA
- Be available to start on the 15th April 2022
