JOB TITLE:DIY Handyman: Basic Home Repair Adjunct
DEPARTMENT: Construction Trades

CAMPUS: Franklin Road
SALARY COMPENSATION PACKAGE: $30.00/hour
WORK PERIOD: 1-2 evenings per month for 3 hrs.

Job Objective: To provide engaging hands-on instruction to adult learners in DIY home repair topics including basic plumbing electrical drywall repair and residential painting. The instructor will teach two evening classes per month each three hours in length and help students build confidence in making basic home repairs safely and effectively.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Credentials: No formal license required but applicants must demonstrate multi-trade expertise. Teaching or training experience preferred.
Special Knowledge Skill or Ability:

Proficiency in multiple trades including plumbing electrical drywall and painting
Demonstrated ability to teach or train others in a clear hands-on manner
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage a small class in an adult education setting

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in one or more of the listed trades. Experience teaching or training adults is preferred.
