Job Description
We are recruiting for a Safety Compliance Specialist in Greenfield IN for a large Precast Solutions company. Hours are Monday-Friday 7a-4p. Pay is $80-$90K. Bachelor degree preferred or 2 years as Safety Coordinator in a similar role. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. This is a very dirty and dusty environment.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:
- Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Providingpersonnelwithsafety-relatedinformation suchastrainingsessions emergency protocols and proper use of safety equipment.
- Reviewing existing policies andprocedures toensuretheyareupto date. Overseeingthecompanys dailyoperations andidentifyingopportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
- Performingsafetyauditsandphysicallyinspectingallworkareasandjobsitesto identify possible safety issues.
- Conductingriskassessmentstominimizeworkplace accidents occupationalillnesses or long- term health hazards.
- Preparingmonthly or annualsafety reports andpresenting the information to management.
- Collaborating withAurora Illlocationto make sure bothmanufacturing facilities are following the same practices.
- Collaboratingwith managementtoplanandimplementasafetyprotocolbudget.
- Other duties as assigned.
SkillsandQualifications:
- A bachelors degree in occupational safety and health Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Minimum2yearsof experienceasSafetyCoordinatororsimilarrole. Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
- Knowledgeof OSHA regulations andotherrelevant safetystandards. Strongattention to detailand abilityto identify potential safety hazards.
- Excellentcommunication andinterpersonalskillstoeffectively collaborate withvarious teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office andother relevant software for safety documentationand reporting.
- Abilitytowork independently andaspartofateaminafast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing safety requirements and technologies
PhysicalRequirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb up onto or down from equipment.
- Mustbeableto climbstairs/laddersandwalklengthy distancesinanindustrialsetting.
- Occasionally it may be necessary to work in outside conditions that can include inclement weather heat and humidity and exposure to dust.
