Schedule: Onsite (MondayFriday 8:00 AM4:30 PM) with on-call rotation
Position Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support Plastic Surgery services at the Memphis VA Medical Center. The PA will assist with surgical procedures clinical evaluations and on-call support in accordance with VA policies and national clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist plastic surgeons during procedures both inpatient and outpatient
- Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments and documentation
- Provide patient education wound care and follow-up evaluations
- Participate in on-call coverage rotations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited PA program
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Active unrestricted license to practice in a U.S. state or territory
- Current BLS certification required
- 2 years of clinical experience in surgical or plastic surgery settings preferred
- Must be eligible for VA credentialing and privileging
