Join the Civmec Team

We are looking for a full-time Mechanical Estimator to join our team at the Civmec Tomago Facility. This role is responsible for estimating multidiscipline site maintenance shutdowns and capital projects valued between $1 million and $30 million. While experience in pricing off-site steel fabrication is preferred it is not essential.

The Role

  • Conduct cost estimation for multidiscipline maintenance and shutdowns ranging from $1 million to $30 million
  • Prepare estimates for capital projects up to $30 million
  • Provide pricing expertise for off-site steel fabrication for our Tomago Workshop
  • Estimate multidisciplinary maintenance outages & capital projects various trades including:
    • Mechanical fitters
    • Boilermaking and welders
    • Crane and rigging operations
    • Scaffold assembly
    • Specialist subcontractors for each outage

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Minimum of five years experience in estimation
  • Certificate III trade qualification or a Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with developing & or input to key proposal deliverables including:
    • Construction methodologies
    • Schedules (Gantt charts)
    • Resource histograms
    • Organizational charts
  • Experience with Microsoft Project is desirable
