About the Company
Our client is a leading international infrastructure group with over a century of experience delivering complex and iconic civil engineering projects across the globe. Known for large-scale sustainable transportation systems hydropower and urban mobility developments the company is rapidly growing its footprint in Canada.
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of this group to recruit a Business Development Manager who will report directly to the Chief Commercial Manager for Canada. The role is focused on supporting business growth identifying strategic partners and contributing to the pursuit of major infrastructure bids nationwide.
What Youll Do
As Business Development Manager youll play a central role in:
Market Analysis & Opportunity Development
Research and monitor the Canadian infrastructure market to identify new project opportunities
Deliver insights to guide strategic decisions and pipeline prioritization
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
Evaluate and engage with potential partners including engineering firms subcontractors and international JV participants
Coordinate with internal and global procurement teams to enhance project qualifications
Bid & Tender Support
Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to prepare bid documents
Support stakeholder presentations and responses to RFQs/RFPs
Maintain a clear and organized record of submissions and approvals
Stakeholder Engagement
Represent the company in meetings with clients partners and suppliers across Canada and abroad
Participate in site visits to assess project feasibility risks and local dynamics
Internal Collaboration
Ensure alignment across legal procurement finance and technical teams
Follow up on pre-qualification documentation compliance processes and governance approvals
Who You Are
Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Business or related field
Experience: 2 years in construction engineering or infrastructure sectors ideally in business development preconstruction or partnerships
Languages: Fully bilingual French and English (written and spoken)
- Skills:
Strong understanding of the Canadian infrastructure and procurement landscape
Experience with partner negotiations and joint ventures is an asset
Excellent communication organizational and relationship management skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative and international environment
Mobility: Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally
