Are you a skilled Medical Technologist seeking a full-time evening shift opportunity in a high-complexity clinical laboratory One of our trusted healthcare clients located just outside Indianapolis is hiring a versatile and dedicated generalist to join their experienced lab team. This is a permanent position offering stability professional growth and the chance to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes quality patient care.
Position Summary:
As a Medical Technologist Generalist you will perform a wide range of high-complexity testing across all areas of the clinical laboratory including hematology chemistry microbiology blood banking and urinalysis. You will play a key role in supporting accurate and timely diagnostics for patients and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret high-complexity testing in all core laboratory areas
- Operate troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of lab results to clinical staff
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements (CLIA CAP OSHA etc.)
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
- Maintain documentation in compliance with hospital and lab standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related science
- ASCP (or equivalent) certification preferred or eligibility required
- Previous generalist experience in a clinical lab setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory principles instrumentation and quality systems
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
