The Opportunity: We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-driven Dutch-Speaking Travel Agents to join our on-site team in Porto. In this role you will be instrumental in assisting clients with their travel planning booking arrangements and providing comprehensive support to ensure a seamless and enjoyable journey. While prior experience in travel or customer service is a plus it is not a strict requirement we believe in nurturing talent and providing comprehensive training to equip you with all the necessary skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Consultation: Engage with Dutch and English-speaking clients to understand their travel needs preferences and budget for various trips (e.g. leisure business group travel).
- Itinerary Planning: Research propose and customize travel itineraries including flights accommodations transportation tours and activities.
- Booking Management: Secure bookings for flights hotels car rentals cruises and other travel components using various reservation systems.
- Information Provision: Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding travel regulations visa requirements health advisories and destination details.
- Issue Resolution: Handle pre-travel inquiries provide assistance during travel (e.g. re-bookings cancellations emergency support) and resolve post-travel concerns efficiently and empathetically.
- Sales & Upselling: Identify opportunities to upsell additional travel services or packages that enhance the customers travel experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions bookings and payments in our CRM and booking systems.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering polite professional and efficient service throughout the entire travel process.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously update knowledge on travel destinations products and services to provide expert advice to clients.
What We Are Looking For:
- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Dutch (both spoken and written) is essential. A strong professional working proficiency in English is also required for internal communication and training purposes.
- Customer Focus: A genuine passion for helping people a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service and a keen interest in travel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear patient and empathetic approach. Ability to articulate information clearly and persuasively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to listen actively analyze situations and think critically to find effective solutions for travel-related challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings and client requests simultaneously.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating various booking systems online travel platforms and general computer applications.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly adapt to new processes and work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Prior Experience (Good to Have Not Mandatory): While any prior experience in travel tourism hospitality or customer service is a plus it is not mandatory. We provide comprehensive paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge.
