Responsibilities

The FAAs National Airspace System (NAS) Enterprise Services Group (AJW17) serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility for second-level engineering and operational support of enterprise-level systems in the NAS. Providing 24/7 technical assistance AJW17 ensures vital NAS systems operate safely reliably and securely by managing trouble tickets troubleshooting system failures resolving performance issues and overseeing lifecycle maintenance activities. AJW-17 integrates cybersecurity standards configuration control and enterprise architecture compliance into FAA infrastructure modernization efforts aligning technology implementation with strategic resilience security and mission assurance objectives.

Noblis is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under a multi-year contract with the NAS Enterprise Services Group (AJW-17). The role involves assisting with the development of configuration plans standard operating procedures and policies as well as tracking configuration documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will contribute to product audits and help maintain consistent and thorough configuration records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and enforcement of Configuration Management (CM) processes and practices across projects and systems.
  • Assist in the development management and maintenance of configuration plans policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Record and maintain the status of configuration documentation including revision tracking to ensure completeness and consistency.
  • Participate in the planning execution and documentation of product audits ensuring compliance with CM policies.
  • Produce detailed audit reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure configuration control and integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts related to CM processes and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting configuration management activities or related functions.
  • Familiarity with CM processes documentation control and revision tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to participate in audit planning and execution.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • U.S. citizen or green card permanent resident (lived in the U.S. for 3 years)

Senior-level

  • Minimum of 15years experience with bachelors degree in any field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors Degree.
  • Masters degree or MBA in related field may be substituted for bachelors degree and 3 years experience.
  • PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelors degree and 7 years experience.
  • Compensation Ranges: D.C. and N.J. - $102500 - $160100

Mid-level

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with bachelors degree in any field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors Degree.
  • Masters degree or MBA in related field may be substituted for bachelors degree and 3 years experience.
  • PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelors degree and 7 years experience.
  • Compensation Ranges: D.C. and N.J. - $84700 $132325

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with CM tools and software (e.g. Git SVN Jira or specialized CM tools).
  • Knowledge of industry standards or regulatory requirements related to configuration management.
  • Experience in a technical or engineering environment.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contract-specific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
