Thisroleisaccountable for the development andexecution of the Global BuildingProductssegment thestrategy willresult inprofitablygrowing Sherwin-Williamsshareof the globalmarket for theIndustrial Wood Coatings Division by effectively aligning resources with metrics includes sales growth in excess of market growth rates margin growth and new product sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Developgrowthstrategiesforthedesignatedsub-segmentsinNorth AmericaEuropeandAPAC.

  • Convertthestrategyintomulti-yeargrowthplansthat expandbothpositionandprofitability.

  • AlignregionalsalesR&DandProductManagementresourcestoexecutethegrowthplan.

  • Establishleading operationalandlaggingfinancialmetricsforthe segment arenotlimitedtosalesgrowthandmargingrowth.

  • Growmarketshareinkeygeographies.

  • Develop coachandmanagetalent.

  • Staywithinbudgetandtimelinesinachievingthe aboveresults.

  • Strongfactbase quantifyingkeydimensionsofthesegment;

  • Leadingandlaggingeconomicindicatorsforthesegment;

  • Quantifiedassessmentofsub-segmentattractivenessineachrelevantgeography;

  • Competitive intelligence;

  • Identifyandquantifytheimpactofdisruptorsandacceleratorsinthesegment;

  • Quantifiedassessmentofourprobability ofsuccessineach sub-segmentineachrelevantgeography;

  • Internalvaluechainassessment;

  • Supportingsalesin positioningappropriateproductofferingsfortargetcustomersegments.

  • Identifyandestablishrelationshipswithkeyindustryinfluencersandbrandowners.

  • ForselectedstrategicaccountspartnerwiththeEnterpriseSellingteamtodeliveranenterprise-widevaluepropositionthatdeliversonvalueelementsfromseveraldivisionsorgroups.

  • Support theglobal salesorganization atthestrategic aswellas tacticalaccount levelthrough targetingleadgeneration salestooldevelopment pricingguidance andcollaborative selling.

Global AccountManagement

  • Foraselectnumberofglobalaccountsworkwiththeregionalaccountownerstocoordinatethecross regionalaccountplan.

  • Facilitateserviceineachregionthatreflectstheglobalimportanceoftheseaccounts

ProductDevelopment&Commercialization

  • Develop arobustnew productdevelopment expansion.

  • Collaborate withSegment ProductManagement onroad map execution.

    • ResponsibleandAccountableforStageGatePhase1OpportunityIdentification

    • Responsible tocontributeasaproject team memberto Phase 2through5 by

      advancingcommercialdataand refiningthevalueproposition andfinancial

      assessments.

  • Leadthemarket introductionfor new products.

  • SupportProductManagementinprioritizingsegment-specificLabWorkRequests(LWRs).

Communications

ExternalCommunications

  • Identifykeystakeholdersandbuildtailoredmessagemaps.

    • Recommendkeyeventsandmediarelevantforthe focusedsegment&supportMarcominexecutingtheseeventsthroughcontentcontributionandparticipation

  • Ensurethoughtleadershipinthesegment(s)througharticlespresentationsandinterviews.

Internal Communications

  • DelivermarketandproducttrainingincollaborationswiththeProductManagersandRegionalMarketManagers.

    • Ensureeffectivesalesandmarketingtoolsaswellasprintedcollateralfor internalandexternaluse.

    • Increase organizational alignment around segment strategy through quarterly reviews with relevant internal stakeholders.

  • WorkcooperativelywithManagementinallGloballocations.

  • Effectivetalentmanagementdevelopmentandsuccessionplanning.

  • Managelimitedresourcesinpursuitof thehighest returnoninvestment(ROI)inthefocusedsegment.

  • InteractwithTechnicalSalesManufacturingHumanResourcesandFinanceDirectors.

  • TrackandreportFocusMarket-basedresultsandactivities.



Qualifications

FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:

  • Bachelorsdegree

Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or business related field
  • MBA

KNOWLEDGE&EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Ability tomulti-task in a fast-paced business environment and beproactive with prioritizing work assignments.
  • Strong organization analytical timemanagement and communicationsskills.
  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing and/or salesB2Bexperience.

Preferred:

  • 10-15yearsindustryexperience
