What Awaits You:
Summary:
The Mental Health Therapist I works collaboratively with patients families and the interdisciplinary care team to provide direct psychosocial care. Responsibilities include psychological assessments behavioral interventions discharge planning and crisis support to help patients overcome barriers to care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts psychosocial assessments and develops individualized care plans
Provides psychotherapy and supports care coordination
Addresses immediate needs through crisis intervention grief counseling and abuse reporting
Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and family meetings
Documents care according to regulatory standards
Maintains knowledge of community resources and makes appropriate referrals
Participates in quality improvement and on-call rotation
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Applied Psychology or related field
Maryland LGPC required
One year of healthcare experience preferred (field placement considered)
Strong communication collaboration and documentation skills
Proficiency in electronic health records
Salary Range: Minimum$31.92/hour - Maximum$52.69/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
