POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Accounting Specialist- Livestock Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
LOCATION:Ottumwa Iowa
SALARY CLASS: Salaried Non Exempt 1stshift
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate fluently in English both written and verbally.
- Excellent computer skills required including Excel.
- Associates Degree in applicable field or previous accounting/office experience preferred
- High School degree or equivalent required.
- Attention to details & accuracy a must
- Good attendance record(Less than3points for internal candidates)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily and Weekly Balance of Hogs delivered
- Auditing livestock tickets
- Verifying daily and weekly payments to producers and carriers
- Communication with livestock producers and carriers
- Perform facility misc. livestock accounting functions
- Cross-train on roles within the accounting department
- Meet departmental deadlines as required
- Complete special projects as needed or requested
- Full-time Saturday work as required
