Location: Onsite- Greenville SC- Per Diem available for those who qualify
Start: Immediately Long-term assignment
Must be US Citizen
The I & C Engineer will provide engineering analysis walk-downs I&C design development and generation of design output documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering or similar accredited Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience (nuclear preferred) in design estimating specification preparation construction document preparation and related phases of engineering.
- Design experience with PLCs and distributed control systems.
- Proficient in computer-aided drafting applications.
- Must have the ability to walk-down systems in the field.
- Working knowledge of Federal (including DOE Orders) State and Local codes and standards applicable to electrical engineering design.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
- Nuclear or chemical facility experience
Responsibilities:
- The I&C design activities will include design definition control systems architecture and development digital systems PLC DCS network configuration logic development network switches process controls P&ID development support and review HMI communication protocols routing and layout SIL and procurement activities.
- Interpret and apply National State and Local codes and standards and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents specifications and system descriptions related to assigned tasks through project startup.
- Prepare engineering cost and schedule estimates.
- Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications.
