The Senior Reservoir Engineer collaborates with all other disciplines (e.g. geologists landmen and production engineers) to optimize resource development on Continentals Permian Basin assets. This role involves performance analysis strategic planning A&D evaluation and reservoir characterization to maximize economic value and recovery.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts decline curve analysis to generate short and long-term production forecasts to support budgeting resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
Designs and optimizes well spacing completions strategies and field development plans to enhance recovery maximize economics and minimize costs.
Evaluates and makes recommendations on potential acquisitions and divestitures.
Develops and maintains type curves and economic analyses for various AOIs.
Progresses well approvals from concept through executive approval. Communicates trade-offs clearly.
Collaborates with the Well Performance team to incorporate reservoir simulations PVT RTA and other diagnostic tools into asset-level reservoir characterization.
Continually progresses the assets reserves strategy throughout the year.

Skills and Competencies
Outstanding verbal written and presentation skills.
Proficient in computer and data analysis skills.
Good working knowledge of industry economic software including ARIES.
Ability to use production curve analysis (Arps) to forecast reserve recoveries from reservoirs.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Mechanical Chemical or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in ARIES software and economic analysis.
Proficient in Spotfire and other data visualization/analysis tools.
Experience with Unconventional Permian Basin assets.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires prolonged sitting some bending and stooping.
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
