As our Project Manager Construction and Infrastructure based in Melbourneyoull join our Real Estate Advisory and Project Management team where you will have the opportunity to work across multiple industry sectors as well as across functions within the EY Parthenon network.
Your key responsibilities
- Provide Project Management services including managing strategy risk governance design authority approvals stakeholders procurement and contracting of necessary consultants and contractors to deliver a range of projects.
- Providing leadership project management superintendency and project advisory services to a range of government institutional and private clients to realise their property and development aspirations.
- Working across several sectors including education health retirement living infrastructure commercial and social housing.
- Assist on and be at the forefront of some major urban renewal and infrastructure projects including the preparation of procurement and delivery strategies constructability advice property development advisory project planning risk advisory and programming.
- Be exposed to new and innovative housing models such as Build to Rent and Social and Affordable Housing.
- Investigate develop and use new real estate and project management technology applications to deliver innovative deliverables to our clients.
- Collaborate with and support other EY teams in the delivery of a variety of strategically important projects.
- Have the opportunity to be exposed to the full project lifecycle and be part of projects not otherwise typically available to traditional project management firms.
Skills and attributes for success
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience within a client-side consulting environment or head contractor.
- A project manager wanting to grow and develop their career and experience within a dynamic team environment.
- Have prior project experience across at least one of the following sectors: education health. Additional sector experience is favourable.
- Leadership and demonstrated emotional intelligence.
- Strong analytical skills communication skills and attention to detail.
- Vast experience in client and/or site facing roles with good report writingand presentation skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across a range of projects and a keenness to work with and support cross teaming project engagements.
- A bachelors or equivalent degree in a property related course including Construction Management Architecture Engineering Project Management.
