Job Description

The Ashtabula County Educational Service Center is seeking a Certified Elementary/Primary School Teacher with an interest in supporting Interventions to students with Special Needs by obtaining a supplemental license as an Intervention Specialist Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year

Reports to: Special Education Supervisor Principal

Contract Length: 184 Days

Compensation: As per salary scale

Required Qualifications:

  • Teaching certification as an Intervention Specialist K-12
  • Successful BCII/FBI background checks
  • Ability to develop and implement Individual Education Plans
  • Ability to develop and implement Behavior Support Plans
  • Proficient technology skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching special education students
  • Project and inquiry-based instruction and pedagogy

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand talk hear push lift bend and twist at the neck more than the average person. Employee may need to occasionally stoop kneel crouch and reach above the head.
