The State College Area School District is searching for aStudent Registration Secretary at Panorama VillageAdministrative Center. Theposition works closely with families building secretaries and include but are not limited to providing administrative support to the Registration Office including greeting visitorsand providing high quality customer service; overseeing the registering of allincoming K-12 students in the district; coordination of appropriatecommunications; knowledge of Board policies and state regulations related to Student Registration; and management of difficult situations with skill patience and diplomacy.
The ideal individual will be detail oriented have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations; demonstrate a commitment to diversity; demonstrate strong written and verbal communication friendly customer service administrative and organizational skills; and have the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
Prior experiencein a secretarial or administrative assistant position is in public education and/or completion of an accredited secretarial and/or accounting training program is preferred.
