Building Maintenance Manager
Position: Full-time
Location: Vancouver Lower Mainland BC
Salary: $35-45 per hour
Are you an experienced facilities management professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of seniors
McKenzie Health Care Recruitment is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and operations of our senior living communities in the Vancouver Lower Mainland.
In this pivotal role you will lead a team of 3 dedicated maintenance technicians to ensure the independent living assisted living and long-term care facilities are safe well-maintained and running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and coordinating the work of maintenance staff and contractors
Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
Scheduling and prioritizing work orders and proactive tasks
Overseeing repairs and upgrades to building systems like HVAC plumbing and electrical
Managing maintenance budgets and controlling costs
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes
Responding to emergency maintenance issues promptly
Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities
Collaborating with other departments to meet facility needs
What you bring:
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in building maintenance management strong technical skills and a passion for providing exceptional service to seniors.
Preference to those with experience skilled trade (Electrician Plumber)
You should also possess excellent communication problem-solving and leadership abilities.
