Job Description
Physician Assistant-Surgery Permanent Role
- Location: Plano TX 75093
- Shift: Full-Time Days 08:00 AM 05:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Conduct comprehensive or focused physical exams and medical histories to assess physical and mental health.
- Monitor patient progress throughout the care continuum and develop strategies to reduce hospital admissions or shorten hospital stays.
- Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient health.
- Prescribe and manage drug therapies or perform indicated medical procedures in alignment with training and institutional policies.
- Recommend behavior modification strategies and therapeutic interventions.
- Create and implement comprehensive evidence-based outcomes-focused treatment plans in coordination with physicians and healthcare teams.
- Evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
- Provide counseling to patients and families on medical conditions procedures medications nutrition and health maintenance.
- Educate patients on potential drug interactions including OTC supplements and herbal remedies.
- Proficient in diagnosing and treating a variety of physical and mental health conditions.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Competency in using healthcare software and EHR systems.
- Ability to develop patient-centered care plans and interpret diagnostics effectively.
- Capable of delivering patient education on complex medical topics.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: Open to new graduates (less than 1 year of experience).
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Texas PA license (required).
- BLS certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- NCCPA Certification (required).
