Job Description
Job Title: PA - RN - Nursery/Couplet
Job Location: State College PA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- Provide direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a couplet care setting.
- Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs and manage routine postnatal assessments.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments including newborn vaccinations.
- Educate new parents on infant care feeding bathing and safe sleep practices.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies and clinical changes in both mother and baby.
- Collaborate with physicians midwives lactation consultants and support staff.
- Document all care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Adhere to hospital policies procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g. Baby-Friendly Joint Commission).
- Promote a healing and emotionally supportive environment for families.
