Job Description
Position Overview:
The Senior Dot Net Developer will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining high-quality web applications and services using and SQL Server. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including other developers project managers and business analysts to ensure that technical requirements are accurately captured and implemented. The Senior Dot Net Developer will also mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Job Description:
Design and develop REST-based Web Services using Web API.
Experience with Entity Framework using the Database First approach.
Write automated unit tests and develop components to be testable.
Test web services using REST clients such as Postman or Fiddler.
Understand and develop cloud solutions particularly on AWS.
Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles software methodologies such as MVC and MVVM design patterns SOLID principles SOA and dependency injection.
Utilize front-end technologies such as Angular TypeScript JavaScript JQuery Angular Material UI HTML5 and CSS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Mentor junior and senior developers and provide training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation.
Maintain effective communication with Project Manager and stakeholders to manage expectations and provide project updates.
Create technical documentation and maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with company policies and governance standards.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
Key Responsibilities Area (KRA):
Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of REST-based Web Services using Web API.
Implement applications using Entity Framework with the Database First approach.
Write and maintain high-quality testable code.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Develop and execute automated unit tests.
Test web services using tools like Postman or Fiddler.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
Cloud Solutions:
Develop cloud-based solutions with a focus on AWS.
Ensure applications are scalable and performant in cloud environments.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Conduct technical training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Agile Process Management:
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the agile development process.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers product managers project manager and other developers.
Ensure user stories and tasks are well-defined and ready for development.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed technical documentation including design specifications code comments and process maps.
Maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and manage their expectations.
Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and any issues.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Project Management:
Manage project timelines milestones and deliverables.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Process and Policy:
Following company-defined processes and policies.
Documentation and compliance with governance frameworks.
Skill and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in software development with a focus on .NET technologies.
Strong expertise in Web API and Entity Framework.
Proficiency in SQL and database management.
Experience with cloud solutions particularly AWS.
Excellent understanding of OOPS software methodologies design patterns and SOLID principles.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular TypeScript JavaScript JQuery Angular Material UI HTML5 and CSS.
Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with agile development processes.
Ability to manage changes to technical requirements effectively.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proven track record of delivering successful projects.
