Job Description
Job Title: QA Engineer
Job Location: Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad
Job Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 4 to 7 years.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our
applications across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual
testing concepts API testing test plan documentation and database testing. They will work closely
with development teams to identify document and resolve defects while ensuring seamless
application functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop review and execute test plans and test cases.
Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications to identify defects and areas of
improvement.
Utilize Xray for test case management and tracking test .
Conduct REST API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger covering all HTTP
methods status codes and chaining concepts.
Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing using BrowserStack.
Write and execute complex SQL queries including joins to validate data integrity and
create test data.
Document and report bugs effectively collaborating with development teams to ensure
resolution.
Participate in regression testing and release validation.
Execute automation tests for releases and provide feedback on results.
Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium Cypress Playwright
or equivalent.
Prepare and maintain test plan documentation and status report documentation.
Perform database testing ensuring data consistency and integrity.
Work with tools like Jira and Postman for test management and API testing.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Strong understanding of core manual testing concepts.
Experience in test plan and status report documentation.
Proficiency in REST API testing using Postman including chaining requests.
Familiarity with BrowserStack for cross-platform testing.
Solid understanding of SQL including joins for database testing.
Experience in test case creation and bug reporting.
Understanding of automation test for releases.
Exposure to at least one test automation framework (Nice to Have for Senior QA Engineers).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
