As our Development Associate you will join our dynamic Development Team and be exposed to the full scope of nonprofit fundraising including major gifts annual giving planned giving and corporate and foundation giving.
The Development Associate will provide a high level of administrative support to the department with the planning and implementation of fundraising events throughout the year. This position will also share responsibility with maintaining the donor database to ensure timely communication and gift acknowledgements. In addition this role will assist with obtaining in-kind donations that are used by our programs to support people in need.

Key Performance Objectives Include: - Supports event planning and implementation from start to finish by helping to track and accomplish logistical details that will maximize fundraising events.
- Attends Executive Leadership Team Events meetings as needed to provide support and assist with plans.
- Attends all fundraising events and provides support at the events.
- Helps with donor database entry and maintenance for the purpose of effective donor centered communication.
- Provides support with processing donations ensuring accuracy in gift receipt gift entry acknowledgment and batch closing procedures.
- Supports the agency wide In-Kind Contribution Program by assisting with pick-up and deliveries of items.
- Assists with the weekly acknowledgement mailing process which includes mail merge and database coordination.
- Assists in coordination of the direct mail program and other solicitations.
- Adheres to confidentiality in communication with donors staff and others to preserve donors rights and privacy also adheres to Donor Bill of Rights.
- Performs administrative support functions including mailings to contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
Minimum Qualifications: - A bachelors degree is preferred.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Exceptional attention-to-detail organizational analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- A demonstrated record of providing superior customer service is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
- The ability to learn and master fundraising database software is required.
- A demonstrated record of working effectively in a team environment and collaborating with others is required.
- A valid drivers license required.
- The ability to travel to various locations as needed is required.
- Act 33/34 clearances are required.
