The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that electro-mechanical assemblies and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies meet quality standards and specifications. They inspect and test parts components and completed assemblies using tools and instruments to verify dimensions performance and functionality. This role also involves documenting findings identifying defects and recommending corrective actions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine parts components and completed assemblies for defects ensuring they meet
specified standards and tolerances.
Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance.
Use precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers) to verify dimensions and
tolerances. Perform simple math calculations for measurements.
Conduct functional tests including final integration on assemblies ensuring they meet
performance requirements following test procedures. Use basic hand tools in the inspection
and test processes.
Maintain records of inspection data including test results and identified defects.
Identify and document any defects inconsistencies or problems with assemblies.
Recommend solutions or corrective actions for identified defects such as rework or
replacement.
Communicate with team members and members of management to resolve production
challenges and improve quality.
Support the receiving and inventory of production goods with completing work orders to
transfer goods into stock.
Participate in the rework or repair of defective assemblies as needed.
Use scanner to scan data into the ERP system.
Assist with soldering assemblies when needed.
Understand and comply with Quality System processes.
Must follow all safety rules and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the
department. This will include at a minimum safety glasses and coat for the cleanroom for
electronic assembly.

Qualifications:
Good visual acuity and ability to decipher colors is required during visual inspection.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical components and assembly processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
Proficiency with measuring tools and instruments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Quality Control or related experience is required.
Experience in word processing and spreadsheet software is helpful.
Experience working in an electronics manufacturing company is preferred.
Familiarity with the IPC-A-610 standard is preferred.
Soldering skills are a plus.
Ability to use various inspection tools including: calipers gauges multimeters stereo
microscopes etc. is preferred.
Ability to sit and stand during the shift.
Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
Visual acuity to accurately identify colors
