Saints Peter & Paul Parish Job Description Job Title: Ministry Coordinator Status:Part Time Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Department/Location: Saints Peter & Paul Parish / Tucson AZ Primary Function: Under the direction of the Director of Faith Formation and with the Pastors approval is responsible for assisting with the coordination of the Faith Formation Ministries for the Parish. The Coordinator shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching both academically and behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received. (Eph. 4:1) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the Diocese by speaking acting and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The employee may not espouse in word or deed any doctrine inconsistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Give evidence of living Gospel values by being an active member of a faith community and being open to the importance of a personal faith journey; strive to model the teaching of Jesus by attitude and example.
- All descriptions assume that the work will be assigned by the Director of Faith Formation and approved by the Pastor. The work will focus on supporting the tasks and responsibilities of the Faith Formation ministries including Religious Education OCIA Marriage preparation Marriage Tribunal paperwork and baptism coordination.
- Assist the Director of Faith Formation in administering Religious Education programs including program coordination assigning catechists and volunteers and collecting necessary documents for sacramental records.
- At the direction of the Faith Formator prepare documents and files related to common marriage preparation cases.
- Under the oversight of the Faith Formator assist in preparing needed documents for marriage Tribunal cases.
- Prioritize coordinate and schedule calendar requests for R.E. Baptism OCIA; maintain and ensure accuracy of the calendar; coordinate meetings and other functions.
- Prepare reports as necessary related to R.E. and OCIA attendance.
- Maintain the R.E. roster and prepare needed reports from this Excel document.
- Assist with the preparation of content related to Newsletters for OCIA and RE as needed.
- Assist with ensuring adherence to the Diocese of Tucson Safe Environment requirements.
- Assist in drafting and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for youth activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements: Requires coordination and manual dexterity normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a regular education and office environment. Required Activities: Walking; sitting; standing; stooping; reaching; talking; handling; hearing; carrying; and keyboarding. Basic Qualifications: - Must have a working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church; be in full communion with the Church

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; punctuality is a must at all times; weekend and overtime work may be required.
- Proficiency in computer technology to include word-processing spreadsheets and PowerPoint and On-line Religious Education Portals.
- Professional bearing; clean and neat personal appearance.
- Ability to successfully pass a background and criminal history check.
Education and Experience: - An Associates degree in business education or public administration or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years experience in a Catholic religious education environment as an educator or practicing catechist or related experience.
Other/Preferred Skills: - Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred
- Level 1 catechetical certification or equivalent education or willing to complete the certification process.
