Job Description
Teledyne Microwave Solutions is a world leader in the design development and manufacture of broadband high power helix Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs) TWT Amplifiers (TWTAs) and Solid State High Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) from 10MHz to 44GHz for top performance in the stringent fixed and mobile environments used in todays ECM radar and communications markets. Our state of the art products are found on nearly all major EW Radar and Communication platforms of the United States and its allies throughout the world.
Job Summary
Teledyne Microwave Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedTechnical Writerto create and manage high-quality documentation that supports our engineering manufacturing and customer-facing teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear user-friendly content. This role is critical to ensuring compliance supporting product development and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers technicians and subject matter experts to gather technical information through interviews observation and research.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear concise and user-friendly documentation.
Ensure documentation complies with internal standards customer requirements and applicable industry regulations (e.g. MIL-STD AS9100).
Maintain version control and manage updates to existing documentation through the Automated Document Control system.
Recommend and implement documentation formats and tools that enhance usability and accessibility.
Support proposal and product development teams with technical content as needed.
Assist in the development of multimedia content (e.g. diagrams flowcharts videos) to complement written materials.
Develop write and edit technical documentation including:
Assembly and test procedures
Operation and maintenance manuals
Engineering specifications and process documentation
Compliance and quality assurance documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Technical Communication Engineering English or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of experience in technical writing preferably in an RF microwave aerospace or electronics manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of RF and microwave principles components (e.g. amplifiers oscillators filters) and test equipment.
Proficiency with documentation tools and photo/video editing software such as Microsoft Office Microsoft Visio Adobe Photoshop Adobe Premiere and content management systems.
Familiarity with engineering drawings schematics and manufacturing processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MIL-STD documentation and government contract requirements.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems.
Familiarity with Agile or Lean documentation practices.
Basic understanding of CAD tools or electrical design software is a plus.

$61600.00-$82100.000Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including but not limited to location education/training work experience key skills and type of position.
