DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Security Officer 1 you will provide enforcement of Department of Human Services and Danville State Hospital policies procedures and safety regulations to safeguard the hospital and its property against fire theft and vandalism as well as maintain a safe environment for consumers employees and visitors. You will complete a vast array of duties and routines to include performing patrol duties on foot or by vehicle; completing incident reports and conducting investigations; and responding to fire alarms emergencies disasters codes and bomb threats on campus.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours: 1st shift - 8:00am to 4:00pm; (2) 15 minute breaks - Works every other weekend
- Hours may change based on operational needs
- Overtime as needed
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operators license.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
