We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Science Engineer II with a strong interest in AI/ML and advanced analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing and applying data science techniques to solve complex customer problems. This role will involve hands-on experience in machine learning statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to help shape the data strategy and drive insights from large varied datasets.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with data and subject matter experts and customer teams to seek understand validate interpret and correctly use data and business insights
- Train validate and deploy machine learning pipelines
- Test troubleshoot and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers
- Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations
- Write application specifications tutorials and documentation
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Experience in data science methods including statistical analysis machine learning and data visualization.
- Experience identifying and resolving operational or data-related issues using documented procedures and prior case studies.
- Experience making small-scale system and process improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.
- Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree 6 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Applied Machine Learning experience (regression classification supervised and unsupervised learning) with a strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra calculus probability and statistics.
- Experience in time-series data analysis including cleansing and normalization and experience with scalable Machine Learning (MapReduce streaming).
- Software development expertise in Python and JavaScript with experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Ability to drive projects independently and collaboratively demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to organizational goals.
- Verbal and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is 72000 USD - 144000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
