Job Opportunity: Part-time Cook Supervisor

Are you passionate about food service and looking for an opportunity to make a difference in a supportive community Trinity Elms Assisted Living is hiring a dedicated and experienced Part-time Cook Supervisor for our dietary department to ensure quality meal service for our residents.
Position Details
- Position is part-time
- Pay: $15 per hour
- Hours: 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Dietary Department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of Dining Services.
- Review menus and prepare regular and therapeutic diet meals according to planned menus.
- Follow standardized recipes and serve meals adhering to dietary needs and portion controls.
- Assist in menu planning and preparation of special meals.
- Train coach and supervise dietary personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Report equipment and supply needs to the Director of Dietary Services.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and work habits.
Qualifications
- High school coursework diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read understand and follow recipes and dietary instructions.
- Experience in food preparation and serving methods.
- Knowledge of food sanitation principles.
- Supervisory experience in food service is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Standing walking bending and lifting throughout the day.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds and work with cleaning agents.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- Must maintain hygiene standards and be free from infections or diseases.
