Details:
The SEO Specialist will be responsible for planning implementing and managing our SEO strategy. They will be involved in various SEO activities such as content strategy link building and keyword strategy to increase organic search rankings and drive traffic to the company's website. This role requires a strong understanding of search engine algorithms technical SEO best practices and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Keyword Research & Analysis:
a. Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-value relevant keywords and phrases for target audiences.
b. Analyze keyword performance search volume competition and user intent.
c. Identify content gaps and opportunities based on keyword research.
2. On-Page Optimization:
a. Optimize website content including meta titles meta descriptions header tags image alt text and internal linking structure.
b. Ensure content is engaging high-quality and aligns with SEO objectives and user intent.
c. Work with content creators to integrate SEO best practices into content development.
d. Optimize for readability and user experience.
3. Technical SEO:
a. Perform regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues impacting website performance and crawlability (e.g. site speed mobile-friendliness crawl errors broken links duplicate content).
b. Implement schema markup to enhance rich snippets in search results.
c. Ensure proper URL structures XML sitemaps and files.
d. Collaborate with web developers to implement technical SEO recommendations.
4. Off-Page Optimization (Link Building):
a. Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative and relevant websites.
b. Conduct outreach to industry influencers bloggers and webmasters.
c. Monitor backlink profiles and disavow toxic links.
d. Leverage social media to support SEO efforts and increase brand visibility.
5. Content Strategy & Creation:
a. Collaborate with content and marketing teams to develop SEO-friendly content strategies.
b. Provide guidance on content topics structure and optimization for search engines.
c. May be involved in writing or editing SEO-optimized content.
6. Analytics & Reporting:
a. Monitor and analyze key SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics Google Search Console SEMrush Ahrefs Moz etc.
b. Track keyword rankings organic traffic conversion rates and other relevant KPIs.
c. Create comprehensive reports demonstrating SEO performance and impact.
d. Analyze data to identify trends opportunities and areas for improvement.
e. Communicate results and insights to stakeholders clearly and actionably.
7. Competitive Analysis:
a. Conduct competitive analysis to identify competitor SEO strategies strengths weaknesses and opportunities for differentiation.
8. Algorithm Updates & Industry Trends:
a. Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices.
b. Adapt strategies quickly to maintain effectiveness in a dynamic environment.
9. Collaboration:
a. Work closely with other digital marketing teams (e.g. PPC social media content marketing) web development and design teams to ensure integrated strategies and optimal website performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g. Google Analytics Google Search Console SEMrush Ahrefs Moz Screaming Frog).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of HTML CSS and JavaScript.
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
Knowledge of UX (User Experience) and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) principles.
Certifications in Google Analytics or other relevant SEO platforms.
