eDiscovery Specialist
ROLE
We need an experienced Data Specialist at the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Northern District of Texas (USAO-NDTX). The USAO-NDTX is responsible for prosecuting federal criminal cases and defending the U.S. Government in civil actions across 100 counties. In this role you will support ongoing criminal prosecutions from the Dallas headquarters by providing litigation technology and eDiscovery support. Youll consult with litigation teams manage data workflows and ensure compliance with discovery obligations using advanced legal technology platforms. This is a full-time opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with litigation teams in early case assessment electronically stored information (ESI) collection processing review analysis and production
  • Advise on use of Technology Assisted Review (TAR) tools and compliance with discovery obligations
  • Perform analysis and processing of ESI in support of litigation activities
  • Perform hands-on file manipulation loading and conversion
  • Coordinate with client agencies to collect review preserve and provide ESI
  • Organize documents for efficient automated storage and retrieval using eDiscovery software
  • Review ESI for integrity completeness and corruption and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure proper gathering review and preparation of ESI for disclosure
  • Assist the Litigation Technology Unit (LTU) in document analysis data management and litigation support strategies
  • Organize case information via scanning indexing and database control
  • Use eDiscovery and Automated Legal Support software (e.g. NUIX Cloud Nine Law IPRO Eclipse Relativity CaseMap TimeMap) for ESI collection review and production
  • Support setup and training for trial presentation software (e.g. IPRO Trial Director)
  • Create searchable PDF portfolios from paper/native files using Adobe
  • Input and organize files in litigation support software such as Relativity and CaseMap
  • Input native email files with metadata duplicate and extract relevant data
  • Transfer ESI between eDiscovery programs
  • Assist with creation of hosted websites for eDiscovery review
  • Create logs reports and summaries using litigation support software
  • Conduct document searches using advanced artificial intelligence tools

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years of experience in a litigation support electronic discovery and/or technology support environment
    • Within a government environment Preferred
    • Within a law firm or top eDiscovery vendor - Acceptable
  • Experience with Relativity Nuix Concordance IPRO Eclipse Cloud Nine Law Beyond Compare and other applicable eDiscovery software platforms
  • Experience performing Administrator and Case Manager functions in Relativity.
  • Experience with providing end-user support on all Litigation Support applications including but not limited to assisting with end-user training.
  • An understanding of the litigation lifecycle and electronic discovery/document review processes procedures and practices is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks such as those defined in the listed responsibilities above
  • Experience with eDiscovery technical experience in compiling analyzing and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
  • Ability to consistently deliver the highest quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of information resources and file types.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors degree in related field. Three years of additional directly relevant work experience (over and above the minimum experience requirements for this position) may be substituted for the bachelors degree.

CLEARANCE
  • U.S. citizenship is required since this role supports the U.S. Federal government
  • Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance
