Job Description
Overview
Responsibilities
Analyzes the occupational health needs of the clinical workforce to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Conducts regular communication with employee supervisor and health care providers on status and early return to work planning to reduce lost time.
Assesses patients with temporary illnesses and occupational injuries or exposures and provides treatment or referral for care.
Ensures occupational health coverage for patient care areas and needs including assigning staff and adjusting staff scheduling to operate efficiently to meet patient and hospital demand.
Prepares and implements processes and protocols for the delivery of occupational health services to ensure compliance with applicable laws regulations and industry best practices.
Researches and stays up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational health to incorporate evidence-based practices into the delivery of services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred: COHN certification
