Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and inclusiveAssistant Banquets Managerto ensure our guests have exceptional banquet experiences. In this role you will play a key part in the planning and execution of events supervising banquet staff and assisting with daily operations to uphold the highest standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for both business and social events.

  • Coordinate event logistics including collaboration with vendors and internal departments.

  • Assist in achieving departmental financial goals through inventory management cost control and effective scheduling.

  • Supervise banquet staff ensuring completion of opening and closing tasks.

  • Support the Banquet Manager with hiring training and directing banquet staff.

  • Communicate with clients to address and fulfill event needs and special requests.

  • Lead pre-meal meetings to align the team on event objectives.

  • Ensure cleanliness organization and sanitation of all banquet spaces.

  • Adhere to and enforce company safety and security protocols reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions.

  • Collaborate with other departments to meet business needs.

  • Act as Banquet Manager in their absence ensuring seamless operations.

  • Perform additional duties as required to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior leadership and/or supervisory experience required.

  • Prior banquet event management or hospitality experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbsand stand/walk for majority of shift.

  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
