Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a wide variety of Human Resources functions including compliance employment recruiting employee relations disability/FMLA leaves on boarding workers compensation management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruits interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions;

collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for

openings.

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Conduct and coordinates on boarding and new employee orientation programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including

but not limited to recruitment benefits and leaves.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring

complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Serving as primary contact for work related injuries includes; good communication with injured

employees filing claims timely maintaining OSHA Log working with adjusters and guiding

employees by facilitating access to medical care. Active participant in Safety Meetings.

  • Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and

recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Prior ADP experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 Years HR Generalist experience preferably w/in a manufacturing environment
  • Labor Relations and PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • Minimum Associates Degree in related field preferred Bachelors preferred.
