Join us in making Seattle as connected and innovative as the community we serve!As a Business Systems Analyst you will be a part of the Enterprise Permitting Inspection and Compliance (EPIC) team within the Business Solutions Division and serve as the Information Technology Advisor for the Buildings and Energy programs in the Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE). This role will advise on technical investments to support the implementation of OSEs policies and programs like the Building Emissions Performance Standard (BEPS) and Benchmarking laws. You will also work with the various program managers to recommend develop and implement IT solutions such as custom SQL databases and web-based applications and work with program managers to translate complex policy requirements into the recommended technical investments. In addition you will lead these technology efforts as the project manager for the development and implementation of IT solutions working with the Seattle Information Technology Department (ITD) and supervising vendors/consultant teams.
In this role you will develop internal process improvements and operational and administrative policies as well as be responsible for tracking and managing the BEPS IT project budget of $5.3 million. Additionally you will be working with business staff to find opportunities for system improvements assessing work requests investigating and documenting business requirements determining configuration and design solutions seeing changes through to a successful implementation and solving issues in a production environment. This work is primarily associated with the BEPS Portal application.

Salary:The full salary range for this position is $52.63 - $79.00 per hour. The salary for this individual role has been identified as $70.00 per hour.

Workplace Environment (Telework Expectation):This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. At this time hybrid telework schedules have a minimum requirement of three days onsite per week. Individual schedules are based on operational needs and agreement between the employee and their supervisor.
