As an Engineering Associate at United Rentals you will provide a variety of support services to the Engineering Department. This position is responsible for implementing engineering policies and procedures organizing and coordinating engineering workflow and assisting engineering staff with the completion of production documents which in doing so helps drive profitable engineering revenue for the Division and Company.
What youll do:
Provide support to the Engineering Department when creating dewatering systems water/sewer bypass systems and other fluid control systems for site-specific trench and excavation projects
Assist with producing pricing quotations and formal written proposals for design projects
Receive incoming Engineering Questionnaires & check information for accuracy & completeness
Work with Engineers to draft formal site specific conceptual
Receive engineering design requests from Branches & distribute to Engineers
Organize proposals & projects within electronic and hardcopy filing systems
Communicate with Branches to obtain engineering billing information and compile engineering revenue summary for management review and use
Provide clerical assistance to Manager for completion of engineering forms licensing applications licensing renewals safety documents departmental worksheets/databases etc
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Minimum 1 year experience inside sales or comparable experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Knowledgeable of the OSHA Excavation Standard 1926 Subpart P. and related standards
Must be able to effectively work independently as well as within a team environment
Must be able to prioritize work and effectively manage time and multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and fine attention to detail
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals policies and procedures.
