- Completion of a BS in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Basic knowledge of related engineering standards techniques and criteria
- Basic communication skills including the ability to comprehend follow directions and convey detailed technical data

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Good problem identification and solution skills
- Exhibit questioning attitude and practice self-checking

- Mechanical and construction experience (including piping electrical knowledge equipment layout and testing and commissioning of new processes and equipment). Performs non-standard engineering varied engineering and new-to-you assignments typically in areas of design development analysis evaluation testing preparation of specifications execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
- Machine design and manufacturing methods experience (Process equipment design HVAC system design Machining Sheetmetal Welding Forming etc.)
- Works with minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions. Evaluates selects and applies a variety of technical techniques procedures and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed.

- Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD

As an Early Career Engineer - Advanced Fuel Management in Richland WA you will be part of the proven team in theDepartment of Fuel Operations (DOF) in the Fuel Business Unit. Youll join a team of diverse engineers to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions and value-added technologies focusing on supplying fuel fuel components and fabrication processes and facilities for next generation nuclear power plants. These solutions will ultimately be deployed into a state-of-the-art fuel fabrication facility at the Richland position requires occasional we will enable clean safe and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Richland is located in the Columbia River basin in southeastern Washington a few hours east of Seattle. Discover Richland: Richland WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $77968.80 - $92000 and may also include annual incentives performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications skill level competencies and work location.
