Job Description

Key responsibilities:
System Administration:

Install configure and maintain Linux operating systems on servers and devices.
Monitor system performance ensure the reliability and availability of systems identify bottlenecks and implement performance tuning strategies.
Perform regular system updates patches and security configurations.
Monitor server performance
Security Management:
Implement and enforce security best practices to protect OT systems from cyber threats.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Manage user access controls and permissions.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide technical support for Linux systems including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Respond to incidents and outages working to resolve them promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with vendors and external support teams as needed.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and system maintenance.
Utilize configuration management tools to streamline system deployments and updates.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations procedures and policies.
Generate regular reports on system performance security and compliance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with team members and cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration operation of systems and resolution of incidents.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates on system status.
Preferred Education Experience
Skills
Bachelor& Degree with minimum 7-8 years of hands-on experience and general knowledge of Linux and general Unix operating systems concepts as well as systems administration experience
Qualifications
Ability to understand application scaling issues related to problem resolution algorithm choice.
Familiar in multi-factor authentication platforms and solutions and Identity Management such as OpenID LDAP and Kerberos.
Security implementations using multi-factor authentication PKI or Kerberos and Unix
OS hardening to meet standards.
Experience with supporting Apache Web Server
Experience with Red Hat Identity Manager
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to develop and maintain documentation on system administration procedures for routine and complex tasks
Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented approach to project delivery.
Ability to adjust quickly adapt to changing priorities and take initiative and own the task.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team and with strong organization skills.
