Job Description

Job Quick Facts:

Coverage Type: Clinical only
Shifts needed to be filled:
- Jul 2 6 7 9 18-20 23 27 & 31
- Aug
Shift Schedule: 12-hr or 24-hr shifts
- 7a-11p 7a-7p 3p-7a 7p-7a OR 7p-7p or 7a-7a
Shift Coverage: Daily rounding new consults & admits.
Patient Volume: 6-12
Patient Demographics: Treat/stabilize patients from birth to death; Approx. 5% ped 35% adult 60% geriatric.
Admissions Required: Yes
Rounding Included: Yes
Physician in Practice: Trauma attending surgeon assigned to each 24-hr shift typically take call from home but available within 15 mins or via phone call.
Specialty back-up: EM IM or Critical Care; Multiple other subspecialties.
Required Procedures:
- Suturing Minor Lacerations Responding to the ED for Trauma Alerts Surgical Consultations
- ER Admissions Facilitating Discharges
- House Codes: Rapid Response Team Completion of FAST exams at the bedside reporting off to oncoming APP general surg coverage 5p-7a on weekdays & for full 24-hr on weekends.
Trauma Level: II
EMR: Epic
Other Info:
- APP will NOT be working autonomously.
- Full time APP will be on 12 weeks of medical leave.
Travel lodging and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:
Active OH License
NCCPA
DEA
BLS ACLS ATLS PALS
Must have previous experience in Trauma
