Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a PMO Lead (Director) within our Glasgow Project Controls Team. As PMO Lead we are looking for you to possess proven infrastructure experience to lead major defence programmes in Scotland If youre interested in working with one of the UKs leading consultancy providers across infrastructure then were keen to discuss this exciting opportunity with you.
Youll be responsible for:
- Leading a PMO focusing on driving Controls and Performance business transformation efforts around effective delivery at pace to ensure client needs are realised.
- Overseeing and managing all PMO capabilities namely:
- Planning and Scheduling
- Risk Management
- Cost Control
- Change Management
- Reporting Management
- Baseline Management
- Building and sustaining PMO capability including Resource Management Controls and Performance and Risk and Governance.
- Bringing together a clearly defined and integrated PMO ensuring effective alignment between the defined operating model with customer requirements.
- Ensuring the overall integration and deconfliction of Programme and Project works addressing issues when they arise between delivery activities while determining priorities based on client objectives.
- Continuous development of people systems tools processes and assurance that provide exemplar Governance and standards associated with the PMO functions across all Programmes and Projects.
- Embedding and refining the defined processes procedures ways of working systems and tools to ensure compliance with Portfolio strategy best practice consistency and standardisation.
- Efficient and effective management reporting across the Portfolio.
Qualifications :
- Important: Before applying due to the sensitive nature of these projects you must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC).
Many of the clients and projects we support are subject to MoD security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Further details are available at United Kingdom Security Vetting: clearance levels - (). - Experience in performing monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions which include schedule development control and analysis in the field and the home office
- Proven experience within the infrastructure sector
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Proficiency with PC operating systems with proficiency in several basic software applications.
- Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications for example Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering procurement contracts construction and start-up work processes.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
