Job Description
What youre responsible for:
- Safely operating a 12-wheel Roll-Off truck a tractor with Roll-Off trailer or a cube van to transport recyclable materials
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Safely loading and unloading bins
- Keeping the truck clean and in good condition
- Following all traffic laws and company policies
- Maintaining accurate logs and records
- Taking part in yard duties which make up approximately 50% of the role including:
- Operating a loader or forklift once comfortable (training provided if needed)
- Assisting the mechanic occasionally (light manual help only no mechanical work)
- Collaborating with the team and providing excellent customer service
Qualifications :
To join our team:
- You have a valid Class 1 FM drivers license with a clean driving record
- You have 12 to 24 months of experience as a Class 1 FM driver
- You are experienced with manual transmission
- You speak French fluently (essential for team communication)
- You are customer-focused and enjoy working as part of a team
- You are in good physical condition and able to assist with loading/unloading when needed
- You have knowledge of metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
- You have experience with dump trucks / Roll-Offs (an asset)
- You are punctual reliable and safety-conscious
