Job Description
Work Shift:
Responsible for treating assigned patients including obtaining accurate prescription reviewing charts adequately evaluating patients and documenting according to policy.Education & Training:
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
Experience:
Three (3) internships/affiliations satisfactorily completed. Twelve (12) weeks of
clinical experience at a university-approved hospital.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current PT licensure by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy. Current
AHA/ARC BLS certification. Must obtain and maintain required ortho
education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination
Center of Excellence Policy. Must obtain and maintain required stroke
education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Primary Stroke
Center/Acute Stroke Ready Designation Policy.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety physical therapy equipment to include ultrasound electrical
stimulation whirlpool iontophoresis TENs units paraffin bath fluidotherapy
Biodex biofeedback traction and exercise equipment.
