Solution Architect Infrastructure (Data Centre Migration)

The team is collaborative technically driven and committed to delivering secure scalable and future-ready infrastructure solutions.
About the role:
We are seeking a Solution Architect Infrastructure to lead the planning design and execution of a major data centre migration project. This role will be instrumental in transitioning legacy systems and cloud-based infrastructure into a modern hosting environment. The successful candidate will work closely with enterprise architects engineers and external vendors to ensure seamless migration aligned with business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse current and future infrastructure architectures to ensure migration capability meets stakeholder and customer needs.
- Provide expert guidance on infrastructure technologies network and system architecture and best practices throughout the migration process.
- Develop comprehensive infrastructure designs aligned with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance standards.
- Ensure solutions align with strategic technology directions and are delivered within agreed timeframes.
- Collaborate with internal teams including architects engineers and developers to implement infrastructure solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and presentations to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth integration.
- Act as the lead technical representative liaising with third parties and vendors and ensuring delivery against SLAs and OLAs.
- Advocate for project solutions and communicate technical designs to stakeholders.
- Maintain alignment with enterprise standards patterns and strategic directions.
Required Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience across infrastructure domains including storage backup firewalls cloud PaaS/SaaS Microsoft technologies and security controls.
- Strong understanding of solution design frameworks and modern IT system architecture.
- Proven ability to lead teams through technology transitions and adopt modern design methodologies.
- Background in cloud architecture systems design software development infrastructure architecture data engineering or DevOps.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure architecture database architecture networking zero-downtime migrations IT security and cloud operating models.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Infrastructure certifications are advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience in facilitating workshops and resolving integration challenges.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and governance processes.
Whats on offer
This is a contract role commencingASAPthrough to30th June 2026 based inParramatta and Sydney Olympic Park NSW with on-site data centre visits as required. The hourly rate is$130$145 p/Hour excl. GST.
