Are you ready to save the planet
AtGreenlyte Carbon Technologies were advancing breakthrough Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology to remove CO from the atmosphere while generating clean hydrogen. As we scale our systems from lab to field we invite curious and driven individuals to contribute to shaping a sustainable future.
This Masters thesis gives you theopportunity to explore operate and improve a real-world carbon capture process.
If youre eager to turn ideas into action and accelerate the climate transition this is your chance to make a tangible impact.
How youll contribute
Your thesis will
focus on operating and optimizing a pilot-scale absorption system with potential focal points including:
- Liquid distribution analysis in the absorber column (e.g. impact of distributors packing types)
- CO uptake behavior under varying process conditions and solvent compositions
- Crystallization phenomena and their influence on solvent loop stability
- Integrated process strategies to improve system efficiency and scalability
- Youll work closely with our R&D and engineering teams to generate actionable insights and contribute to the next generation of DAC systems.
What youll do
- Operate and analyze the performance of the DAC absorption unit
- Investigate subsystem components (e.g. sump pumps piping solid-liquid separation)
- Plan and conduct systematic experiments to identify key process parameters
- Support upgrades to experimental setup and evaluate design alternatives
- Document and present results to both internal and external stakeholders
About you
- Passionate about sustainability and hands-on experimental work
- A structured thinker who enjoys solving complex problems systematically
- Ready to take initiative and explore innovative solutions
- Enrolled in a relevant technical or scientific Masters program (e.g. Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Process Technology)
What we offer
- 20 days vacation plus public holidays to ensure you also have the downtime needed to rest and recharge
- A high-impact thesis with real-world application in a fast-growing climate tech company
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and researchers across disciplines
- Potential for future opportunities within Greenlyte
- Support with relocation and coordination with university requirements
- A collaborative purpose-driven work environment focused on speed learning and ambition
