Participates in a team responsible for the execution of the Global Compliance Regulatory Compliance Management Program. This includes all compliance pillars and enterprise programs across Business Lines and Corporate Functions operating in international countries. This position manages and advises local Compliance teams in their execution of key priorities activities and strategies. The position manages key relationships helping ensure business strategies plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in accordance with governing regulations the Banks business strategies plans initiatives internal policies standards procedures and with Scotiabanks ethical conduct standards.


Is This Role Right for You In this role you will:
Support the quality control process for Regulatory Changes and Regulatory Library to determine completeness and identify gaps.
Assist in executing the Regulatory Relationship Management pillar in IB countries.
Monitor new regulatory developments and follow up on assessments and action plans.
Provide input for International Compliance meeting reports and committee updates.
Collaborate with International Compliance teams and Corporate Functions to ensure program effectiveness.
Identify assess and mitigate Compliance risks and provide guidance to stakeholders.
Ensure effective day-to-day business controls and adherence to compliance frameworks.
Develop and maintain global frameworks policies and procedures relevant to International Compliance.


Do You Have the Skills
Experience supporting or managing regulatory compliance programs in international banking.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Operational Risk Management and Compliance Risk Management.
Ability to monitor and interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional and international teams.
Experience preparing reports and updates for compliance committees.
Ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks and oversee corrective measures.
Understanding of risk appetite and its application in compliance activities.
Willingness to work non-standard hours to support international operations.
Bachelors degree in Law Business Administration Finance or a related field.
Advanced degree or professional certification in Compliance Risk Management or related discipline is an asset.
Experience using analytics to identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications (including Word Excel and Power Points) and Power BI.
