Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
The Department
The Alfred Department of Intensive Care is a state of the art 68-bed unit that treats around 4000 patients per year. We provide Victorian state services for major trauma heart and lung transplantation (and national paediatric lung transplantation) mechanical circulatory supports extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) burns and hyperbaric medicine. The Alfred Hospital is also a state service provider for HIV and bone marrow transplantation (autologous and allogeneic). In addition most other surgical and medical subspecialties are represented in the case-mix in keeping with the quaternary referral centre status of The Alfred Hospital.
The Role
The Manager will provide leadership coordination and operational oversight of the Centres staff and activities to to establish the Centre as a substantive Alfred Health initiative. The Manager is responsible for the coordination of the Centre to assist in the establishment of the Centre as a substantive Alfred Health initiative.
Key aspects of the role will be working with the Centre Clinical Lead and respective Program Leads to:
The Manager may be required to function independently in a range of responsibilities including personnel finance communications and stakeholder relations.
