09Department overview:
The Reference Data products service internal as well as external clients and are focused on developing a suite of Reference Data offerings for the broader marketplace across Fixed Income Equity Securitized Products & CDS. We offer a unique combination of content and industry expertise enabling our clients to make timely and efficient decisions effectively manage risk and transform their operational processes.
Duties & Accountabilities:
Working Closely with Sales and Business Development Team for the Pre-Sales function and perform Coverage Checks and Attributes of Interest analysis
Identify gaps using the coverage analysis and working closely with Product and Business Development Teams in identifying solutions and new vendor sources wherever required.
Performing new vendor data analysis to help decide build versus buy strategy
Defining feed mapping requirements and business rules to on-board new vendor data feeds and other vendor mandated changes.
User acceptance testing for new data feed onboarding or enhancements to existing data feeds/product functionality.
Proactively monitoring processing of data feeds to ensure smooth running on daily basis.
Managing requests/queries received from internal teams and internal as well as external clients.
Improve database quality by identifying root cause of data gaps and liaising with Vendors if required to improve quality and completeness of data.
Identification of opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and data quality improvement projects
Ensuring mapping requirements and business rules are well thought through to avoid enhancements later and UAT is performed rigorously to identify any bugs or missing requirements and thereby ensuring successful production release.
Ability to work independently and liaise with counterparts/stakeholders globally.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders
Must have general understanding of financial markets and be keen to expand knowledge.
Good understanding of Fixed Income Market Corporates Sovereign Municipals Securitized Bonds as well as Equity Market.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
5 years of relevant experience
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Intermediate knowledge of SQL and Excel
Multi-tasking time management and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Business Competencies
Education and experience
Graduate degree/ Post-Graduate or equivalent in ideally Finance Economics or Business
Must
Understanding of financial markets.
Good knowledge of different types of fixed income instruments and terms and conditions associated with them along-with Equities Market
Desirable
Knowledge of VBA along with Python will be desirable
Commercial Awareness
Must have a keen interest in finance and be up to date with current global financial market news.
