For our BI Team we are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer who is going to be involved in the whole software development lifecycle from defining the concept and technical design up to implementation and maintenance focusing on the continuous improvement of the implies the creation of the team roadmap and the suggestion of tech improvements by thoroughly understanding the business model in relation to the current product focus area(s).
You are going to design and develop new data pipelines and maintain our data ecosystem focusing on fault-tolerant ingestion storage and data lifecycle and the computation of metrics reports and derived information.
You will be the one to take on all technical communication with your team-mates in order to make decisions as well as advise and drive specialized topics among colleagues and management.
You will be the one to ensure the codes quality whilst writing high-quality reusable and testable code and bringing it to production.
You will be the one to indicate and apply best practices according to industry standards whilst promoting a culture of agility and excellence.
Several years of experience developing in both Java and Python.
Significant experience with developing and maintaining distributed big data systems with production quality deploymentand monitoring.
Exposure to high-performance data pipelines preferably with Apache Kafka & Spark.
Experience with scheduling systems such as Airflow and SQL/NoSQL Databases.
Experience with cloud data platforms is a plus.
Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes is preferred.
